Hanns 19" LCD $109 AR

Full price is $230. The rebate for $120 off ends today (7/31), so hurry if you want in. For the rest of August, there is a $100 rebate, for a AR of $129.

If that $120 comes through, that is an awesome price.

Why is this company selling 19inch LCD monitors for $109.00 ? Are they not very good?

They have decent specs at 700:1 contract ratio and include a DVI connection & cable...

Are people getting their rebates?

Thanks

I got both of my rebates. In one of the original threads regarding their monitors, they are breaking into the consumer market--they've been a panel producer for awhile apparently.

I got the OnRebate.com rebate very quickly (within 2 weeks of purchase), and just got the Manufacturer MIR last week.

Display is great, very bright (actually turned down to about 50%), no bad pixels. Options like base adjusting are limited, but it's a 19" LCD for super cheap, so 😀

EDIT: add a $20.05 filler and get free shipping

PC Connection has been around for a while and seems to have a good rep. I ordered the 196D model of this LCD and it is great. Paid ~$129 AR at PC Connection. Still waiting on the Onrebate rebate to come but other than that all is well. I was the OP in the old thread listed above. Read that thread for issues/opinions of the deal as these two monitors are very similar.

Keep in mind that you will need to order $19.05 more to get free shipping. I posted some fillers in the $129 AR post above, but i am not sure what if any of them are still available. Sorry that I don't have time to look for any right now...

Thanks for the post.

The rebate links seem to be bad. Can someone please send me them, or tell me where I can get them.

EDIT: I got them. Was able to DL with IE, but not Firefox.

Got this for my dad at 129, I agree with dips and others it is a quality LCD for the price. If it was $250, I'd get a Dell...but for $109 AR (with $20 filler for free shipping) you can't go wrong...

I've been really happy with my HU-196D from the $129 AR thread. Rebates all came through and the LCD is incredible for the price.

looks like the $20 rebate got extended? the $20 rebate is good until 9/30, and the $100 rebate until 8/31. After rebate price is 109.95. Wish they had this deal on their widescreen version.

FWIW, EBates has 1% back on PC Connection orders.

Alternatively, there is 2% fat cash back. On a $250 order, that is another $5 back [Doh! 😉 ]

((Edited to correct amounts of cash back.))

THANKS OP

Just ordered the monitor and used a LinkSys Compact USB 2.0 10 100 Network Adapter (USB200M) $25.82 for a filler.

Been wanting a G version adaptor for a while and this only came to about $10 more than paying the shipping on the monitor would have been.

Used the 2% fat cash to link in so with the 2 rebates it looks pretty decent to me!

wow, this sounds like a sweet deal. I've been looking for a screen to play video games with, something small enough I can carry around the house to different rooms. Does the monitor have built in speakers? If so how is the sound?

By G version, do you mean 802.11g? You know the USB200M is not a wireless adapter right?

I just got mine earlier this week and I must admit that I'm impressed with the quality considering the price. I've only sent in my rebate the day after I got the monitor, so obviously I've yet to get mine. But I've read on other hot deals forums that people have been getting their rebates fairly quickly (between a 2-6 weeks). I'm still thinking if I should get another one of these or spend money on a better one.
