I could only find a driver for the 194D and I have the HU196D, but I'm using the one for the 194 and so far, no problems.

There is no specific driver for the HU196D since it looks to be the exact same thing as the HC194D.
The only difference is the thicker bezel.

IT'S ON AGAIN at PCConnection.
Got an email ad this morning for a $109.95 monitor. I called and it is the same #6732798 Hanns-g 19'' mon on this thread.
The $100 rebate has not been updated yet, but I just talk to PCconn cust serv and it will be updated by tomorrow. ("they'er workin on it") I ordered this one for a relative by phone.
Good news for any who missed out.

Got the $91.00 rebate back already (what can I say.. I'm inpatient and need the cash lol) I didn't have to send the serial number in though I did eMail the folks to make sure the rebate went through.. emailed both support and the nadia person mentioned earlier. Wish I could get another for the price =P.

Is it okay to peel off the upc and one of the many serial number stickers, stick in on the form and send it in?

Or do we need to include some cardboard as indicated by someone?

Not really looking forward to cutting that tough cardboard.

I just peeled the UPC and one of the SN barcodes and stuck it on a piece of paper. I then just attached the paper to the rest of the rebate form.

Weird.
They're sending out emails advertizing a deal that still hasn't been set up yet.
No details are given in the email on when the deal will go into effect.

Where is the promised rebate?
I've checked the website, HannsG page is still showing just a $20 rebate.
I got the same email.
Very misleading.

Yeah I got the email yesterday and their catalog today and both show the $109.95 after rebate price, but no $100 rebate form on the site :(

Here is the deal.
I gave them a call. They say the additional $100 rebate should be up some time during the next couple of days.
But you can buy the monitor right now and still qualify for this rebate since it should be valid starting on 09/01/2006.

The $100.00 rebate goes through RebatesHQ.com, good from 9/01/06 - 9/30/06, with at least a 10 week wait for the rebate. 10 weeks and $100 ??? Decisions decisions:confused:

Do you have the link to the rebate? I don't seem to see it on RebatesHQ.

BE AWARE that the $20 MIR is the SAME rebate (goes from 4-28-06 to 9-30-06), and is a limit of one per household.

The $100 rebate is a new one (9-1 to 9-30-06).

I bought one from PC Connection on 8-25 and registered with Onrebate on 8-30, sent the paperwork (form, UPC, SN) on 8-31. I used the Payapl quick rebate option for 9.00 fee. I received the money in my Paypal account (91.00) this morning. 12 days from sent to receive. Worth 9 bucks to me not to have to wait another 6-8 weeks.

Don't bother with their fee unless you really need that money back fast, I got a check from onrebate in 4-5 weeks.

I bought one about six weeks ago and was sorely disappointed in the quality of the picture. Someone said there was a driver, and so I went looking, but there is a driver only for the model that is the same number with a "D" at the end. I did try loading that, but cannot figure out how to activate it. Doing a search I found occosional people complaining about picture quality as I was. Someone suggested changing the resolution on the computer to 1280x1024 and voila--nice picture. So if your picture is off--glary, not sharp--change the resolution.

I wonder if I can buy a second one when the new rebate comes out, or would that be rejected, anyone know?

The $20 rebate runs from 4/28 - 9/30, so it looks like you wouldn't qualify for that one (as you've already used it). However, the $100 rebate runs from 9/01 - 9/30. This is a different rebate than the $100 you already submitted, so it should be valid.
