I can't tell the difference between the two - can anyone enlighten me?

Hanns·G HW-191DPB vs Hanns·G JW-199DPB

The overview for the 191 states: "Stunningly bright images and crystal clarity" while the overview for the 199: "High-tech gamers yearning for the extraordinary should consider the Hanns·G JW-199DPB"

OK that sounds to me like we're going to find some significant differences, right? One is geared towards gamers, the other perhaps for those needing crisper clarity in their graphics.

However the only real discrepancies I can find is that the 191DPB lists "Pixel Pitch 0.283mm x 0.238mm" in the specifications, the dimensions are slightly different, and finally, the Features are a bit different, with the 199 offering "User Selectable Color Temperature Settings, 9300K, 6500K" but the 191 lacking in that. Could that be it?

Difference is mainly in that one has speakers :p I have 2 of the Hanns·G JW-199DPB and I love them to death!

Both of them has speakers; check the specs.
I'm getting this monitor for my b-day coming up. It is probably the best monitor at this low price range after looking at many reviews.

I think.. though I am guess that the 199 is the upgrade to the 191. A lot of people complained about the speaker an button placement on the 191. I have the 191 and I think it is just rockin.

Thx for the input ... I want to get this for work, however I am now finding that the graphics card doesn't support 1400x900, at least it's not in the list of supported resolutions. Might have to find a non-ws monitor instead

I got the larger JC-199DPB (1280x1024) for me mum and was quite impressed for the $90 it cost after all the discounts. There was likewise a similar HC-194D model.

For the most reliable info compare the specs at hannsg.

SO these are good? I bought a Norcent LM-965WA for $150 after rebate from Office Depot, but they also had a Hanns G with the same specs for $160. I think I'll exchange it after reading good reviews on Newegg... Have found no info on the Norcent. Haven't opened, and don't have a DVI cable anyway, so I don't know if it's good.
