Hannibal may be more ruthless, but Dexter's rules have forced him to find tougher (less ruthless) solutions to his problems so I could argue that makes him more impressive

Hannibal may indeed have more experience, but its not exactly as focused as Dexter's.

Then there's the obvious youth advantage...

Do you even know anything about Dexter? Dexter was working for the same police unit while they were trying to hunt him down. He isn't exactly an idiot. On the other hand Hannibal has actually been caught and imprisoned...although he does make up for this by escaping in brilliant fashion, but still.

I really think its foolish to claim this is one-sided or no contest in either direction.

Dexter was top of his med school class but decided to focus on being a serial killer while working as a blood spatter specialist for the homicide unit. Does being a doctor really give Hannibal any sort of edge in a fight between the two? Dexter has far more kills to his record...

While the act of skinning a guy and wearing his face as a part of an escape is incredibly awesome, the fact that Hannibal was caught in the first place (and thus had to come up with an escape) could be considered as a knock against him.

Try harder next time to defuse any opposition to your homer pick.

Hannibal only has 1 working arm, though i guess he could add a weapon attachment heh.

I've been watching the 2nd season of Dexter and its not NEARLY as awesome as the first. They've been doing a lot of Threes Company style jokes and its totally lame compared to the humor of the first season. Also, no real suspense so far. The english tart is pretty cool and I bet she has some dark, scary shit going on. But other than her none of the supporting cast is too interesting, and Dexter himself is lacking in many ways.
