Hangover Remedies

*sigh* its been a few years since I've had a hangover this bad. I haven't been able to keep any water down, but its been at least 5 hours since I tried drinking any more.

What are your remedies or suggestiongs for nursing a hangover?

If you can't keep water down, you're SOL.
My method for any hangover is 800mg of Ibuprofen (Motrin) + 32 oz. of water (have some bread too if you can't keep it down) + go back to sleep for 3 hours. Wake up also as good as new. After a night of heavy drinking, I don't fully recovery until the day after next.

Pho!
But after you can take water, have a little salt. Alcohol dehydrates your body and electrolytes, and that can really mess you up.

I suggest gatorade if you can keep anything down. It has some carbs in it, not too much, but the important ingredients are electrolytes. Getting some potassium and other electrolytes in will make you feel much better.

time. most of all sleep!

If I have a bad hangover, I feel bad until I've eaten at least a small amount of food and taken a nap. Ibuprofen helps a little too.

How the hell do you have a hangover at 12:30am? Just waking up from a hard day of drinking?

But re: question... alka seltzer is the best remedy for me. I usually take one right after I throw up (to increase the chance that it'll stay down) and then try to go back to sleep.

well for me its near 10pm right now, and the last time I had trouble keeping any liquids down was around 4pm. Its been like that most of the day though, I'll drink some water, and it'll come back up. Im going to sip on some powerade and maybe some sprite.

What he said, except Gatorade instead of water.

The Ibprofuen is like a double slam on your liver so I only take it on the really bad hangovers.

Small amounts of water, maybe trying to hold 4 oz or so down at a time before it is absorbed and then drinking some more. When you are ready eat a small amount of very greasy food. If it seems like it is going to stay down, eat a bunch more greasy food and you should be good.

I usually had a cup of orange juice and a McGriddle for normal hangovers.

slam a cacausian [(aka white russians to the rest of you) cream (or half and half), coffee liquer, and vodka] or a irish coffee [coffee, cream liquer (bailey's), whiskey (perferrably irish)].

There is only one way to kill a handover. More drinking.

PHO SHO. Pho is the best hangover food.

I pop 5 advil's and down a lot of gatorade. Good as new in a couple hours.
