For me I tend to use flathub (through Discover in KDE) for these rather than the operating system versions since those require rebooting everytime you update them:

Steam
Protonplus
Protonup-qt
Protontricks
PortProton
Lutris
Chromium
Chrome
Firefox
Discord
Warehouse
Surfshark
Calculator
Haruna
VLC
Wine
Flatseal
Ktorrent
LACT
Whatsie / Zapzap
Localsend
GNU image manipulation program
Disks
Firewall
Gnome System Monitor
Hardinfo2
PhotoQT
Onboard (virtual keyboard)
Mousam (weather)

For my widgets its:

Resources Monitor
Thermal Monitor
Netspeed widget
Weather Report

Please mention your list especially if you find a really good program.

Most of my stuff's pretty obvious. I'll list a couple some might be interested in.

galculator - an rpn calculator
deadbeef - a music player similar to foobar2000. I download from sourceforge, and run it from a folder in /home
goodvibes - a simple online radio player. There's a million ways to do this, but I like the compact and simple interface

Only Office is one of the best free MS Office alternatives, much better imo than the popular Libreoffice.

Resources is an alternative to system monitor that shows per core CPU usage, clock speeds and temps, as well as GPU usage and temps. really surprised most DE sys monitors still dont show these things.

Video Downloader is a nice simple gui for yt-dlp that downloads audio or video from many popular sites like youtube and twitch.

SMPlayer is a comprehensive gui for mpv and the closest linux media player I've found to the great MPC-HC on windows

Virt Manager is a simple gui for KVM/QEMU vms.

Chromium
Chrome
Firefox
Do you have specific uses for each of these browsers?

Yes I use firefox for unsure searches on duck duck go where I'm not sure about web safety. (VPN always on)

I use chromium for looking up gaming/ talking on this forum since AT says my IP is banned everytime I try to connect here with a VPN. :p

And I use chrome for shopping or financial sites like walmart/ amazon/ newegg/ banks/ paying off credit cards etc that don't play nice on other browsers.

All 3 have different email accounts as well so one cracked password doesn't give the attacker everything.
