Handspring Visor Edge <$200 at Best Buy B&M

Handspring dropped the price of this by $50 today from $249 to $199. In addition Best Buy is running a 'all palmtops on sale' deal which is usually 10% off. That would bring the price down to around $180.

Deal on this handheld is NOT online - B&M only. I'll refrain from judging on the palmtop itself - Sony has some fancier ones and there are new models, but this one has a pretty slick aluminum housing if you like that sort of a thing. It's a good deal if you want an Edge...

Yeah, it is a pretty good deal. I'm sitting here wondering what the sale is based on. Still debating though if I should go with the Edge, or the new Clie S360. Same price - Clie has 16 MB, Edge has 8 MB. But I really like the fact that I can buy a phone springboard, and have an all-in-one instead of a phone and PDA.

Seems its memory over functionality and I don't know what to go for. Hope I don't get a headache.

...Although I'm a big Handspring fan, there is no way I can recommend them any loger. The sony clie s360 is a tough act to follow, the phone module for the handspring is pretty much useless for the visor edge because you'll need to lug around the extra "backpack" for springboard modules (since the visor edge is so thin). I'm just waiting until staples stocks the s360 before i make the jump...

I have the Visor Edge (my first palm based organizer) and I highly reccomend it. It works great and its so small. I woldnt use it nearly as much if it was bulky.
