Handspring is offering this deal to employees.
Deal expires at 12pm on July 24th.

I work here, so here's the price list.

Depending on the provider you go with.
First price is the discount offer.

Sprint -- $199 $100 service credit

T-Mobile -- $149 $100 mail-in rebate

AT&T Wireless -- $199 Up to $150 instant rebate depending on plan


If you only want to get the phone, Sprint is the best deal.
the $199 is the unsubsidized price.
The 270 is $499 :disgust:

Even if you are a current subscriber, it looks like you can get the subsidized price for the Treo 270. Might want to double check with your carrier though, especially if you are locked in a contract currently.

My big question is - what model treo are you talking about here?

wait a sec... Not to dealcrap but you can get a T-mobile 270 for 69.99 AR now...

The models in the F&F offer are the 270 and the 300.
The 600 isn't out yet.
I hope the carriers or Palm/Handspring will have an upgrade offer for the 270/300 users.
FYI... Palm bought out Handspring.

I'm sure you can get the same deal or better somewhere, since my own employee discount isn't as good as the F&F deal :-(

I believe the Amazon deals require activation.
I went all the way through to the last checkout screen on this offer and $199 was the price for the Treo 300. No activation needed.
With activation, you can get an extra $100 off from Sprint (service credit)
Dunno about T-mobile.

So the price in bold is your cost without activation rebates.
So I believe a new T-Mobile subscriber can get the 270 for $49 through this deal with the activation rebate.

I ordered mine yesterday. Free shipping and car adapter. $199 + Tax in CA.

Existing Sprint customers: you do not NEED a Vision plan (the first Sprint rep I talked to told me I did). I have the web access on my current plan @ $5/mo and it should work fine on the Treo 300. You can try Vision for 60 days free, then it's $15/mo. I've been told the advantage of Vision is faster net speed and online minutes do not count against your plan minutes usage. I plan on testing all of these assumptions before the 15 day return period.

If it works as advertised, this is a great deal for me. The 600 coming out in late fall is highly anticipated and will likely be priced at a premium. By going with the 300 now, I can wait to see the real reviews on 600, allow bugs to be worked out, and maybe take advantage of an upgrade discount by swapping the 300.
