I use Keenexes whenever possible, but the handkerchief is a good alternative to using my sleeves (or gloves when skiing).

On a related note, I was once called out for using the handkerchief on a ski lift and I just told to guy to look and his glove and tell me which one was more disgusting.

absolutely disgusting. i honestly think less of people that use them to blow their nose. that's a habit nearly as bad as failing to wash your hands after using the restroom, in my opinion.
