I know of the Jornada's (680/680e/720/728), and the NEC MobilePro (780, 790, 900, 900c). Both products look good, but how well do they work? Which OS is better? What other products are out there that are similiar?

You will not use the attached keyboard, it is too small to type normally. If you are looking at Jornadas, get the 560, it was simply an amazing device with a LOT of functions. The flipdown hard cover was very nice. If you are looking for something newer look at the IPAQ's, it is what I upgraded my 560 to. If you choose the 560, you can purchase a thumb keyboard for it.

I have used thumb keyboards, and they do work but I prefer not to use them. I have the fold-out keyboard, by Belkin, for my Palm IIIc, which is a perfect size, but the Palm IIIc is way too slow for me. I would prefer the keyboard to be attached, makes it easier, but if I have to then I'll just get another PDA a fold-out keyboard. Wireless/Wired connection would be nice and more of a Windows/Linux feel than PalmOS. I'm not that interested in games but more of a notetaker and web browser. My HP Omnibook 800CT serves that purpose right now, but its too clunky for me and it lacks the power.

If anyone ever figures out a good way to enter text into a handheld device, they're going to be a friggen millionare.

I have an x30 with wm2003 se and my wife has a dell x5 with wm2003 we both love them she complains because now we have a total of seven pc's including ppc's in our house 😀

Zodiac is nice, but no attached keyboard. That and its uber expensive.
Archos PMA400, same issue. No keyboard, not only that it isn't even available yet. No idea on the price but it looks really expensive.

Hmm... I'm starting to feel that finding one that I like may prove difficult. Anyone else have a Jornada or MobilePro type unit that can give me more info?
