handbrake alternative?

On my windows PC I use a program called "kirara" which is kind of like handbrake with the addition of video pass-through.

Does anything similar exist on the mac?
 
Handbrake is compatible with Mac OS (10.6-10.10). You can use it as usual. Anyway, if you want to try something different, Any video converter, MacX video converter, Miro video converter would be nice choices. I tried all of them on my MacBook Pro, all works well.

It sounds like OP is looking for a Kirara replacement on OS X, and Handbrake isn't it. He wants Handbrake+ or something.
 
What are you using the passthrough for? There are muxers like clipwrap and subler that allow container conversions or track changes without encoding.
