Topic says it all.

Personally I hate the texture of pickles on a burger and usually order no pickles or take them off.

I find that pickles tend to overpower the rest of the burger. Also typically only the worst tasting pickles end up on burgers so there is that as well..

This is a tough question. Normally I get them to put them on the side so I can eat afterwards.

Yum, pickles! Particularly on a Whopper with no ketchup.

Yes, in moderation. Too many pickles overpower everything else, but a hamburger is naked without them. You need just the right amount to enhance the flavor without masking everything else. The same goes for any burger topping. Too much onion, or ketchup or bacon and the balance is ruined, not enough and you miss those flavors.

Pickles do not belong on a sandwich of any sort. Overall, I am not a big fan of vinegar or generally of any foods or condoments like yellow mustard that are heavily flavored by vinegar.

However, A dill pickle of some sort, or pepper products like Jalapenos I can happily eat on the side of a sandwich, without making my gag reflexes go into overdrive.

And if the food is cooked, like a pizza, I'm a lot more apt to go with vinegarized Jalapenos or peppers on it. But on uncooked items, like on a sandwich, just no way.

I think we're limiting our thinking here. Yes, a pickle on a hamburger is good... but if it's a specialty burger it's not needed

I normally don't order pickles on my burger but occasionally I like them with pickles. I like to change it up every once in a while.
