Where are you getting your ham? Unless you raise your own pig and slaughter it yourself, I don't think you can escape the previously frozen ham.By tasting I can tell if ham has been previously frozen . I don't care for it.
My bro/sis in law have a working farm. They take their cows/pigs to be processed and the meat is frozen when they pick it up. So, yeah, you would have to process your own and eat it all before it spoiled.Where are you getting your ham? What do you mean local? Local ham is frozen too. So where are you getting your fresh and never frozen ham?Ham that has been frozen gets greasy. Try it, buy a ham from the local and throw it in the freezer for a week or two.
BTW 16 lbs of it consumed here yesterday
