Yup. It was just a matter of time before it came out. I'm hoping it's priced like the 980ti at Titan XP levels of performance but that might be wishful thinking.I remember when people said the 1080TI might not be coming -.-
Sad thing was it came from those who favor Nvidia products as if they still don't understand the Nvidia release model.
I expect a raise or to simply just leave my job for more pay. Once I do that, I'll probably step up to a setup with pretty poor diminishing returns. For now I want 2 Vega, but may get 3-4.If GTX 1080 Ti is <$700 I might consider it.
But it won't be. And realizing had I bought a Titan Xp last year, the GTX 1080 Ti releasing would just not even matter to me. $730 for a GTX 1080 in '16 and say $800 for a GTX 1080 Ti in '17, to end up where basically in the same spot had I just gone Titan Xp for $1200 in '16.

Oh well, OT season is coming up, new position at work, even more "free" money to blow. Let's see what AMD puts on the table to compete! Remembering a prior hype train let's hope 90% of GTX 1080 Ti for half the price! DO IT!!!!
Would be more excited about this if I didn't already know they were going to price gouge it harder than less gen.
Looking at the cpu side of things, competition is crucial. I feel amd won't be idiotic this time around. Even if top amd gpu didn't compete with titan xp/1080ti (I doubt this) I expect amd to have extremely competitive pricing this time around at the high end if the cpus are any indication of how aggressive amd is trying to be.Exactly. AMD REALLY needs to knock one out of the park with Vega so the high-end can get some competition again.
