Did you even read what I wrote? "Master Chief" isn't a name, it's a rank. Yes, if someone was actually named "Master Chief" it would be stupid. However, in this case, he's called Master Chief BECAUSE HE HOLDS THAT RANK.

Denzel sucks, he's just another "I play one character" actor. However he may be ideal for the role of the guy that wears a helmet that blocks his entire face 100% and barely speaks. But then again, so would I.

I'll compromise on the entire Master Chief / Name thing.

First, the human side of the Halo universe is stupid anyways. Nothing but a bunch of shallow, military cliches written by computer geeks who've watched too many Alien movies.

The *real* story in Halo is the Covenant, and there's substantial story depth there to make a good movie. Jackson will hopefully catch on to this.

I think the most interesting is the Forerunner and human relationship. Like how Guilty Spark recognized Master Chief as the reclaimer and not the Covenant.

I disagree.

If you ever read the book The Fall of Reach (great read BTW). The human story is VERY interesting. The whole training of the Spartans, taking them as young children and all would be great to see in a movie. I think if Jackson follows the book closely and shows MC growing up and becoming leader, it will be a GREAT movie
