It ran horribly on PC
I replayed it a few weeks ago.
Still fun, but the gameplay is beginning to feel stale.
I didn't notice any issues with modern hardware.

By modern do you mean hardware today or hardware when the game came out?
This.
Gearbox essentially took the 30 FPS game on Xbox and ported it directly to PC still running 30 FPS animations. To be honest though, I highly enjoy Halo on PC, where I played it first. I'm still jealous that none of the Halo games have been ported since 2, which is the weakest game in the series.
My buddies used to install it on flash drives so we could play it on the computers in our engineering classes in 2007. We were on a fixed curriculum which we blew through pretty quickly and filled the rest of our time with 4 on 4 matches. Probably the most fun I've ever had gaming. Basically LAN parties 3 or 4 days a week during school. Hard to beat that.

my main problem with the game is the lack of anti aliasing, but the last time I played (single player only), MLAA solved it for me... as for the rest it looks a lot better than the original Xbox version, mostly because it's not running at 640x480
also, the 30FPS animations are distracting, but it's worth playing at 60FPS, mouse movement feels a lot smoother as expected, and you get used to the 30FPS animations....
And I've never heard of Halo: Online, and it makes me jealous!
Well it is 343 we're talking about here. Halo 4 was just about spot on, anyone could party easily, join games, leave games, it was such a blast (and the 360 blade interface was far superior to the Xbone's for organizing parties). MCC just about ruined the franchise as far as MP goes. The Halo 5 beta was fun but proved to me that 343 doesn't know how to setup hosts or servers.the current host system will just become unbearable. I would love to see dedicated servers with all of our favorite playlists with a good anti-cheat system. Just having to play some BTB on Valhalla with sprint and BR's was a blast.
If this gets released internationally, I would easily buy it; provided it had a host migration system and PLAYLISTS. Dedicated Servers would be a nice touch but I am not too optimistic.Evolve has a really low player base with this game so there isn't a lot of people.

Actually, wasnt halo developed first on PC? I remember the demo and was anxiously waiting for it them they announce it would be on xbox only, then a couple of years after that they put it on PC.
