Gist of it:
microsoft wants the movie out by ps3 launch. they also want millions of dollars upfront and percentage of profts guarantee by whoever makes the movie. Also, Bungie has a "Bible" by which the movie makers would have to adhere to strictly.
This has the makings of a completely crappy movie and the studios know it as they are unwilling to make the movie. If they want all this money, studios will be afraid to do anything remotely original as the investors will not allow them to. Problem is, retarded corporate execs know nothing about movie industry and artistic side and will restrain a movie too much, with the result of a sh1tty movie.
This is my critique from this article and stuff I have learned in Film class (precedents of corporate control over movies say this will happen if anyone is dumb enough to make this movie).
