anyone that thinks the graphics are the same as halo 2 is blind. It's that simple. They aren't the best graphics ever, but FAR better than halo 2. I don't care what any reviews say, I've seen it for myself.

Ah, so you're bucwylde. You're on all the time.

Graphics are good, especially in the replays some things look great. Story is not my thing, but it's presented well. Multiplayer is intimidating as everyone kicks my ass. Co-op is good.

It's tough to own a 360 and be on Live and not own Halo, especially when you see everyone on your friends list playing nothing but that and getting constant game invites.

XBL does not offer anything over the PC (Steam Community) sans the racial slurs.

NICE! MS is really punching Sony in the face. And we still have the Christmas sales to look forward to. With all the great games and cooler running consoles being released, the console market is looking great for MS.

hahaha right.

except for the fact that it actually runs well and doesn't crash your system when you open it.

And since when is EVERY pc game on Steam? Every single game ever released for the PC is on a centralized online "lobby" where you can play with anyone? Really?

you're arguments are getting weaker and weaker, quit reaching.

 Yep, I think I've gotten invites from you before. Anytime you want to play some just let me know, any other games besides halo 3 also. (if I have them)

You'll get racial slurs in any game that offers voice chat. I've gotten it in BF2 and CS. Anonymity + voice chat = uber-buttmunches.

I don't like fantasy-themed games (wizards, dungeons, dragons, magic spells etc.) but I don't go around telling Oblivion-fans that their game sucks. Halo 3 has got 9.0+ ratings on Gamespy, Gamespot, IGN, Gametrailers etc. and I am starting to get sick of the BS 'MS bought all the reviews' conspiracy theory. Clearly, the game must have got several things right for it to generate positive reviews from critics everywhere. The condescending attitude towards people who enjoy a certain game is just plain stupid.

"The only reason you like this game is because people like you are nothing but sheep who get caught up in hype/advertising and get off to mediocre games while I am the 1337 gaming guru with impeccable taste. Five of my all-time favorite games are obscure out-of-print titles from defunct developers/publishers that less than 10% of all gamers have even heard about, let alone play. I am a Golden Gaming God!" <----sucky elitist-gamer attitude

<---doesn't have a Xbox/Xbox 360, only played Halo: CE on PC and kinda liked it, wishes the PC-console argument would go the way of the dodo

from Chris' comments in this thread it's quite obvious he does not own an Xbox360, has never played Halo 3, and I would venture to say has never used Xbox Live if he is going to make a comment comparing Steam to XBL.

Tens of millions of people also bought Britney Spears albums.

Tens of millions also bought The Beatles, Elvis, etc. Does that mean they're also overrated?

Also, I think you need to redefine what heavy advertising involves. The only commercial I saw for Halo 3 was the Mountain Dew commercial and even that was rarely played.
