HardOCP had a link to where a Halo 2 video (on their forums) on their front page so I went to go check it out, the link had been taken down because it contained possible spoilers but the last posts in the thread seemed ... interesting ...

According to the original topic poster, "Just this morning my friend bought his copy from a Meijer store in Michigan..."

and the following post as by another user (and he claims its not a fake, nor does it look like one)

... i wish i lived near Northville, Michigan so i could check it out and grab one for myself :Q

Looks legit to me. I believe it. Microsoft and Bungie are wanting ALL stores to have the game on November 9th, including Wal-Mart and Meijer. Typically, these larger retail stores have more strict and top-heavy shipping routes, so it takes the games longer to get to the store and on the shelves. So, they may be shipping very early to these stores. Plus, how do you think all of the EB's and Gamestop's of the country will have the game on November 9th, same day shipping??

Just my take on it 😀. Atleast 1 store always breaks the street date, never fails. Always that one old grandma who works electronics and knows nothing about release dates.

I don't know who would want the crappy feedback from it just to play a joke....kinda stupid if ya ask me...

who the fvck would pay so much? people who have been wanting the game have not been pirating it since they want to use xbox live. Who the fvck will thsi guy play with since only a few people actually have the game?

To some people, $265 is just a night out, or a half night out. No big deal. Also, it seems you're assuming everyone who buys Halo2 buys it for the pvp/xbox live. I played the heck out of Halo and never did the pvp. I know lots of people who only play single player.

To each his/her own. Who cares if someone wants to pay $170, $265, $1000+ to play a game a few days early?
