I dunno if any of you knew this but Circuit City actually already released Halo 2 PC on May 8th. Apparently they weren't contacted about the hold back. I work there. I bought a copy already and have been playing it all month since the 8th. You can actually get it on our website or type in your zip code and see if a store near you has it. Its fun as balls!!!

I saw it there over the weekend, I was wondering if it was just a pre order package or something like that. Then I looked at it and it looked legit...I was thinking "It's out already? Neat". I didn't know when it was supposed to come out so I wasn't real surprised.

Anyway people can mod it so it's playable on XP? Bound to happen right?

Not worth getting Vista over.

I'll stick to XP until they finish ironing out driver issues, thank you.
 
Well I dual boot anyways. Vista has a lot of cool features and games not available for XP. But XP does have its bonuses as well so I keep it around as well.

Btw Halo 2 PC is not slated for release til may 31st b/c nudity was found in the game.

What do you think..? I wish you could play people on xbox360...cause that would have been awesome. Show them that keyboard and mouse owns controllers.

I thought that was supposed to be coming in the near future? I remember an article sometime way back that said something about cross-platform vista games being able to log onto Live...or something like that...

you can play against 360 owners...you just need to have a live gold account, as the silver account only lets you play against PC owners.

nope, so not true.
plus, multiplayer on consoles don't seem to use autoaim.
regardless, I'd own console players with my mouse and keyboard anyday. Cannot wait till I can too! Hopefully just not on some crappy game.
I'm looking forward to Huxley, that'll be a good game (MMOFPS) to destroy X360 owners on. 🙂
 
Read that FAQ Destrekor...it also does say that controllers keep their auto-aim while keyboards and mice do not. People can use their Xbox360 controllers for the PC. Wireless ones you can buy a $20 adapter to make the computer get the signal or you can buy a wired one.

Go play Halo on the xbox. 1 or 2. Try shooting an enemy, and then try shooting your teammate. HUGE difference.

what i find as the best example is when an enemy runs across your crosshair and you aren't moving or looking at all. some nice travel there, courtesy of auto-aim 😛
