Its mine either way. I bought vista and a DX10 card just for this game. But it does not require it......... Oh well going to be a great game. And xbox sucks!!!
 
It will probably bargain bin rather quickly...I am stuck waiting on Sonicwall to release a vpn client before I can install Vista on my home box.

Wow, theres so many things idiotic about this I dont know where to begin.

I will pick it up when/if it gets hacked to work on xp. Only because I dont want to pay for Live and because I can finally use a keyboard and mouse.

if you already have a xbox, you are not paying for live on the pc. Its all together as one.
Just pay 50 for the xbox live and pc live is included.
 
wait 2 years to get what was a mediocre graphics release at the time...

Then force your users to upgrade their OS as well...

It's not like this has been a secret that Vista was required. Microsoft announced that over a year ago.
 
Really, the highlight of all this will be people playing with a mouse and keyboard pwning the crap out of "hardcore" """console FPS""" players. Either that, or they'll have hobbled the PC control scheme to "level" the playing field.

@supaidaaman the GPU in the current iMacs is only moderate for gaming, although the 24" is the only one that's really decent. But just install Vista, and you'll be invited to the Halo2 club, if you really want in.
 
Microsoft just announced yesterday that they've delayed the release of this game until the end of next week. I'm not sure why it took them all the way up to the release date to announce it has been delayed again.

Yes, a port of a game written for the XBox, a system that has basically a GeForce 3 equivalent graphics system, will require DX10 and the latest OS to run....riiiiight.

Well, we need to start adding the price of XP to games and software, too. Just because you already own it doesn't mean you didn't pay for it at some point, right? If you pirated it, then pirate Vista, too, and quit acting like you spend money on software in the first place.
