Halo 2 $40

I read the post title, and for a second there...I thought "Finally a game to show the true power of my imac!" Then I clicked the link 🙁
 
its just a port as well, Looks like crap from the screenies I saw too. I do have vista but it doesnt look any better than it did on the xbox. Lets call this game Courtney Love, Dress her up in a nice dress and she stills look like turd polished with a little windex.
 
its called a merketing ploy. maybe get a few more people who are die-hard halo fanatics to upgrade to vista.

lol you think your imac is a real gaming system? That really got me laughing, good job!

No way in hell am I gonna upgrade to vista just for this. Theres been talks about this might being about to be cracked to be playable on XP since it doesnt use any DX10. I guess we will have to see.
 
i'm interested to see benchmarks and comparison of image quality... still, for any new game, $40 is not a bad price 😛
 
too bad vista, I guess MS really want to to buy Vista. I wonder some clever people can find a way to run this game in good old XP, probably not since it's DX10 only I believe.

But it's not a new game... it's really old. $40 is a terrible price.

Yeah, you really have to wonder what MS was thinking. Why didn't they update everything for the game, since it will be AFAIK the 1st AAA DX10 *only* game out, and they think this game will convince people to downgrade to vista? Um.. no.

Sad fact is that this could have been done on DX9 as well as openGL.

by new i mean "new release" not new as in "just coming out for the first time" new... and i knew someone was going to point that out, i shoudl have edited 😛

at least it's not $60 new like it was for xbox
