What day are kids trick-or-treating this year?!

Halloween falls on a Monday, but a lot of people are saying the kids are going out Saturday or Sunday ...

Didn't see anything on our city's website ...

Not sure I've heard of people taking their kids trick or treating on a day other than Halloween...Before dark, yes, a different day, no...

Religious nuts will try to move it and relabel it to suit their agendas around here. Halloween is evil, but Fall Harvest falling on the same day is supposed to mean just the same to the brainwashed children.

Of course, as long as the brainwashed don't come looking for Halloween candy ...

I've never seen it be moved. It's probably still Monday. I remember back when I was a kid, there was school the next day but my parents would let me stay up longer for that night. Back then trick or treating went up to around midnight. Now it seems there's nobody out past 8. Probably because of all the pedophiles and stuff. Back when I went the only thing we had to worry about is razor blades and poison, and it never happened. My mom would check all the candy to ensure it was not tampered with before I could eat any. Come to think of it, I never heard of anyone finding bad candy.

The only correct answer is October 31st. Whatever day that falls on is when you trick-or-treat.

Any other answer is simply wrong.

I'm 99.99% sure the poison and razor blade crap was made up just to give parents a reason to "test" the candy to make sure it's up to snuff. It's probably in that big book of parental secrets you get when you have a kid.

Taking them on the 31st, the day it falls on. I've never seen it moved, even w/ rain (or last year's flurries)

I don't give a shit if it's Saturday or Monday. if any kid comes to my house after 10pm looking for candy, I'm going to yell at them to "GET OFF MY LAWN" while I angrily shake my fist.

Your best bet is to just put out a big empty bowl with a sign that says "take one". Kids figure you ran out, and they won't ring your bell.

Or egg your house since they assume you made the effort and one of their buddies beat them to swiping to the whole bowl of candy.

It was moved last year to the 30th around here. October 31 fell on the last Friday of the month, which is Nevada Day. The adults like to get a liquored up on Nevada Day so trick-or-treating was moved to the day before for the kids' safety. This year it's a go for the Monday.

It was only moved one time a day later that I can remember. The only reason it was moved was cause we had really bad thunderstorms the entire day/night, this was year ago.
