Rob Zombie's sequel to Halloween.

I did a search for Rob Zombie, Halloween 2, and H2 and got nothing so if it is a repost, I apologize. As for the trailer, the Sherri Moon Zombie part of the movie looks like its going to be weird. It's almost like its trying to be a little like Friday the 13th. Still kind of interested in seeing it though.

Your thoughts/opinions?

Halloween is among a few movies that never needed to be "re-made."

I saw RZ's first remake of Halloween and it was the worst remake I have ever sat through. on me seeing any more of his woeful attempts at making movies.

she played mike myers' mom in the first one... i guess she's the hallucination of his mother in this one.

you people are being way too purist about the halloween movies.

first off, the original halloween movies are good, but cheesy as shit and not scary at all. yeah, neat, they were good for what they were back in the day, but they weren't nearly as scary or entertaining as the remakes. rob zombie has a warped mind perfectly made for horror. he's probably one of the biggest fans of the genre ever. he adds a realistic, gore-filled, scary component to horror.

it's like people who don't understand that "batman begins" was way better than "batman"... or that "casino royale" is the most accurate bond movie made.

I liked the old Batman movies better than Batman Begins, although Begins is a pretty good movie and I have never cared for any of the Bond movies after Roger Moore retired from the Bond series either.

I like his remake of the first halloween, but his remake of friday the 13th was pure shit.

haven't had the chance to see it yet

This is basically the movie... "Alright guys lets start the terrible acting" "Now everyone start having sex" "Now we're going to kill off everyone except for the guy and his sister" The end.

I thought his remake of Halloween was great. Hopefully this is as good.

Friday the 13th was disappointing though.

Yeah, it was a disappointment. At the same time though, I remember calling out the formula as it happened too. I think he intentionally did it as tribute to the series' repetitive formula. Every single Friday the 13th movie followed that formula.

The thing that disappointed me was that the scary parts weren't nearly scary, suspenseful or creative enough.

That's what I meant. The hallucination part seems weird, not the 'her being his mom' part. :)
