Hey Everyone

I'm looking to talk to someone running this setup. I have a Pentium III 933 with 256mb of 133mhz SDRAM and running the above combination. Team Fortress Classic has been freezing up on me as of late, I am running in D3D mode right now because I havent figured hout how the heck to run open GL on HalfLife without getting the now imfamous "You Hardware Does Not support Open GL Mode." Is there a certain driver I need? If so what is it and where do I get it. Also once gotten how do I implement it so that it actually works in TFC?

HELP!

I had the same problems with a V3 2000 and a friend of mine had them with a V2...well, he found a weird solution to the problem: after reinstalling the original Half-Life and installing EVERY patch in the right order afterwards - not only the newest one -, it worked again.

Sorry, can't help except to say that the same thing is happening to me with Voodoo 3 3000.Your hardware does not support this mode is annoying but it seems to run ok in d3d.Strange thing is that it used to run opengl when I had this card in an old hp pavilion.

Kudos my man! You are the one who hit the nail right on the head. Once I moved the dll file into the halflife folder, it worked just fine in OpenGL mode.

Thanks much!

You have to understand you have 3DFX card man, they dont use opengl drivers. They need their own special drivers.

i think you guys made this too difficult. all u had to do was select openGL, and then on the tab on your leftside, there is a drop down menu that says "default". Click that and change the default to miniGL (which is 3dfx's OpenGL driver).

If u read the directions at the bottom of the screen, it tells you clearly. But, congrats on getting it to work.

Lichee:

No it is not as easy as you make it out to be. There is a known problem with the latest version of HL (1104) and OpenGL modes. LuciferHaze is right by saying you must move the 3dfxgl.dll file from your \gldrv\ folder to the \halflife folder.

Hmm, I had no such problems. Pre-Voodoo4, use 3dfxminiGL, Voodoo4+, use Default.

This doesn't have anything to do with your problem, but I would sugest you get WickedGL for Half-Life. It performs much better than the Mini drivers from 3dfx. You can get them at www.wicked3d.com
