Halflife FPS

Is it true halflife has a max fps of 70? i've seen it hit 72fps but i dont look too often

You can set the MAX FPS to 100. I don't know how to do it but I am sure someone here knows how🙂

no you can have as many as your video card will let you and how fast your conection is

I think HL is limited to 100FPS max, no matter what you set it at or how powerful your hardware.

Half-Life's limit is at 100. Do this in the console:

fps_max 100
fps_modem 100

That'll raise the maximum to the half-life's limit. You cannot get any higher, 100 is the limit in the engine.

100 is a waste if your monitor doesn'thave that fast a refresh rate. Be sure to adjust your refresh rate.

actually to see your framerate do this:

drop the console and type timerefresh

This will show you your real framrate!

I can live with <100FPS in HL; I just wish you could get >1280x960 using OGL.
