Half size PCI slot.

I want to buy an IBM thinkpad dock with a half size PCI slot and then install the ATI HDTV wonder in it. Is it possible? I searched the internet for the dimensional specifications of a half size pci card, but found nothing. Just looking at the ATI card, I can see it has full width as a regular pci card, but is significantly shorter that say a PCI sound card like the audigy 2. I have also seen LAN and raid cards that are the same lenght as the ati card, but have just half its width. Is that what a half size PCI slot is? Please help.
 
The correct terminus is "Low Profile". The mechanical dimensions of which are in the PCI specification, www.pcisig.org (might be members-only).

As a consumer, why not ask ATi? They should know.
