Please note that this is a software application, not an accutal alarm clock (would be good to note in title)

I d/led this a couple of weeks ago when it was featured on t*chbargains. Cpuldn't get it to work properly on Win2k, and no offense to anyone, but I thought it was a pretty hokey and poorly-implemented program. The idea of being able to turn off the alarm by "slamming" your kb is cool (especially beccause I have a wireless kb by my bed) but, if it doesn't work, what good is it?

But that is all IMHO...

Why would anyone pay for an mp3 alarm clock? Use task scheduler in windows, just have it run a playlist file directly (*.m3u) or c:\whatever\winamp nameofplaylist.m3u. Quick, easy, and free.

Geez, thought you meant an actual clock, that would have been interesting.

you can do this without any extra software with the built in scheduling tools in win98 and win2k just close winamp and schedule a playlist for when you want to wake up, i have done this myself several times.

cry me a river, i hope you weren't referring to my comment, please, first the guy misrepresents the product by making it sound like it's a real clock and not just software (that's pretty much what ticked me off) and second, as many people have said, this can be done for free many different ways without paying money.

LOL what if someone posted "long distance for only 3 cents a minute" and after reading the thread discover it's only calls from PC to PC(which can be done for free everywhere). Wouldn't you want to say "hey moron thanks for getting my hopes up for those few seconds and wasting my time".

the solution is simple: if you don't want to be flamed do a little research first before you post the deal so you're reasonably sure it really is a "deal". If this guy would have looked around online for just a few minutes he would have immediately found ways to do for free what this program charges for. Should I not be upset that the real deal posters spend several minutes looking up rebates, links, etc to post something then some newbie comes here and just posts crap?

He should apologize for the thread and be sure his next post really is a deal

I am sorry if I offended anyone - I just saw that this software was half price and thought people might be interested. I should have been more specific and stated it was software, and not an actual alarm clock. Sorry about that guys...

Why are you getting your panties in a bunch? Jhassi was showing that this deal ISN'T hot, and infact can be found for a better price (free) if you just look around. Infact, i wouldn't doubt it if spidertermplar was associated in some way with appligator, and just made an AT account today just to post this crap. Maybe you're too dumb to notice it though... 1st, he's a new junior member who probably made the acct today, then he posts a misleading post, to only find out the deal really isn't a deal.

Ok, someone sees something go to half price, and they think it is a hot deal. They post it. Don't flame the hell out of him, just point out that there is a better solution available. If this were in the For Sale/Trade forums, posting a suggestion such as his would have been hardcore crapping, something he has been sighted for before.

Jhassi, i will tell you personally right now, the forums have unwritten rules just like any other place on earth. They are basically called morals/ethics. If you have any of these, you would quit your ludicrious behavior and find yourself a new forum. Merry Chrismas, i hope you sue me too.

Man you brought this one up from the dead...

I agree that there are way too many people in this forum that think they're the hot deal police...

Have to say though that this program sucks balls. It really does.
