Half Life process does not end in WinXP

After playing a game of Half Life and exiting the game, the hl.exe process would still be running in the background. It causes IE and Outlook crashes mostly.

Have they released a fix for this yet?

I do not play half life, not no of any update. But for goodness sake just hit CTRL+ALT+DEL and end it task or process.

I know ... I was just wondering if there was a fix for it so that I don't have to keep doing that.
