FYI, you can already download HL2 files for free thru 'Steam'.
Of course you'll need a 'paid' key to activate & download the rest later.
But it sounds like they're getting close. 🙂

You can just buy a HL2 voucher off of like eBay for what I think like $25. With that you get access to all the games they have on Steam.
