Having an argument with my friend, which has sold more copies worldwide up til now? Half Life or Halo, and if you can get a link that'd be even better.

half life by far, not only has it been around so longer and has multiplayer that works on the net, but you also got returning script kiddies that must purchase a new copy of the game everytime they get banned for hacking

That is as of May of 2003, but I highly doubt Halo has sold 7+ million copies since then

edit: added bold

More like they were the only realistic choice for people buying games then

Their numbers are screwed up- some of them are US only and some of them are global. HL is still ahead of Halo, but Halo is closing in on six million units sold(broke five million a while ago and has been a top ten seller every month since then).
