I'm playing Half Life CS at 1024x768 with a P3 933 and a GeForce DDR. It plays very well and quick but the graphics aren't what I call state of the art.

Has anyone tried it with FSAA? Is it OpenGL or D3D? Is there any other way to get better graphics?

Your not going to make it much better with FSAA. Why don't you try it and see for yourself. HL runs in either OpenGL or D3D but OGL is far better, particularly when your running a GeForce.

I'm not aware of any upgraded textures to increase the eye candy, perhaps someone else knows.

Dude the HL engine is almost 3 yeare old. It was state of the art 3 years ago. Not any more but it has great game play......some of the best.

I don't suppose you really force OGL, but to set the game to run in OGL you do the following. (This is from memory)

From the HL menu select Configuration --> Video --> Video Modes --> Select OpenGL --> Resolution then OK. You should be done then. Make sure your OpenGL Driver is set to Default also.

CS doesn't need eye candy when the game playability is that good and addictive I hasten to add.

Good Luck M8y.
