Half-Life 2 will Debut at ATi Booth During E3

The game will make its public debut next month at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), the trade show of the gaming industry, at the booth of graphic chip developer ATI. A non-interactive theater will show gameplay (much like id Software and Activision (ATVI: Research, Estimates) debuted "Doom III" last year).

Couter-Strike 2??? What are they going to do? Different teams? More uniforms? what?

Well, at least might as well take advantage of a graphics engine that isnt from 1998.

If they redo Counter Strike on the Half-Life 2 engine and Valve cooperates more to help stop cheating I'll play it for sure. They'll have to port de_dust except make it look real nice 🙂.

Counter Strike 2 has been in development for months, apparently.

You're not thinking of Counterstrike Condition Zero are you? Probably not as that's been in dev. longer for sure. If it's been in development that long, what engine? Any links? 😉

Condition Zero uses the original Unreal engine like HL1.

You've gotta be joking. HL came a LONG time before Unreal. It uses a heavily modified Quake I engine (not Quake II).
