Half-Life 2 on more than one PC?

If I go and buy half-life 2, will I be able to run it on more than one PC? My dad isn't that much of a gamer, but he wants to play HL2 (single player). With the activation and all, is it possible to install it on his computer to play? I think it would be silly to pay $50 for each person in the house who wants to play the game...
 
STOP CREATING MORE HALF LIFE 2 THREADS.
It's like any other recent game, you can probably install it on 2 computers, but you sure as heck cant play online together.
