Half Life 2 Level Help

Hi everyone, i need help in half life 2. I have been at this level and have been pulling my hair out. I will try to explain where im at the best i can and see if you guys now how to get passed iit. Its the first time you get the hover craft "Water Hazard Stage". You go until you hit this gate. You must get out of the hover craft and open the gate then get back in it. You drive the hover craft until you hit a log jam that stops you here:

The u go to a bridge area where someone drops some equipment for you here

You can either climb the log in the previous picture or go through a tunnel area to get here:
Pond with blue barrels

You then go up the hill to finally reach here:
Radioactive Pond

THere is a radioactive pond. This is where im stuck. I thought maybe if you had 100% health you could get accross it. I was wrong and died. Can anyone tell me what i need to do at this point?

You still need your hovercraft. Go back and get it.

If it's stuck behind a gate you need to hoof it around, fight some Combine, then find a switch and open the gate. It might be that gate where instead of flipping a switch you shoot some explosive barrels, indirectly destroying the door.
 
The blue barrels are used to float things up, such as that ramp. Then just drive the hovercraft farther along.
 
Yeah, u missed the hovercraft.
It's on the left just after you exit the area with headcrabs and zombies, where the shells get dropped.
 
yea you have to put the blue barrels inside a cage under the ramp. you'll need about three of them to float the ramp up. drive your boat over the ramp onto the other side. more barrels can be found in that tunnel on the right.
 
ok so how in the world do u get teh hover craft past that log jam...i tried hacking it with the crowbar with no lock
 
ok i think i maybe see how...i just looked at the pic of the log jam..maybe the log jam using that wood pallet

Looks like a makeshift ramp there in the middle, try going at it full speed.

You are thinking way too hard about this game. Try to remember that you vehicle is a hovercraft, not just a boat, and that it can go on both land and water.

That fact will also help you out a little bit later.

It is not a hovercraft, it is an airboat. It still has a hull (twin hulls) but it is propelled by a large fan (like a hovercraft) rather than a propeller in the water.

edit Just meant for clarification..not meaning to be argumentative.
 
thanks guys for all your help. Yep i think i was thinking to hard but i definitly appreciate the help and everybodies time. I know when i can't find the answer its my fellow anandtechers who come to rescue 🙂. I really appreciat it. Especially silent running who maped the way for me 🙂. Have a good day everyone
