Half-Life 2 G-man Sightings!

After fighting the helicopter in the airboat. When you get out of the building on the plateau and head towards the damn, he walks behind the corner and disappears.

I saw him:

-On the Vortigon's TV in the trailer in City 17...the Vort then turns and says, "We both serve the same mystery"

-Beginning of Water Hazard at the Red Barn

-End of Water Hazard, standing on the dam before you jump through

-Talking to Col. Odessa at NLO if you look through the fixed Combine binoculars

-Security camera in Nova Prospekt

I've seen him about 6 six times on monitors and in some of the ss that have been posted. One that I should post is in Ravenholm he's on top of a building with bodies hanging, I'll see if I can find it.

I have another sighting but I don't know how to upload/attach the screen grab.

Near the end of the wind-propelled-boat bit just before you jump over the high dam. After you've shot down the helicopter that drops mountains of mines on you then open the gate, there's the building with a heath and a suit machine on the wall inside. After you've finished in there and go back out and round the corner, he's there in the middle-distance and walks off as you get remotely close.

it must be him, standing in the window, you can se him walkin back and forth, but he only does it every 10 minutes or so...

ahhh i wish i knewof this thread ahead of time =_= I saw Gman like 20 times or so!!! litearlly he always popped up, but usually you only get a quick glimpse before he walks away like always!

The G-Man is your employer of sorts. Thats all you know about him. Hell, for all we know he could be your sub-concious. The reason sightings of him are important is because Valve did the same thing in HL1 by putting the G-Man always 1 step ahead of you in the game and often not really caring about what is around him.

Does anyone know more about the gman than this?

 

I finally beat HL2 and it seems that the gman is your boss/employer and your are like his contract killer employee. But what does the g in gman stand for, gordon, does anyone have any ideas?

Well in real life G-Man mean a G-Man is sort of a Government Official.

I found him on the flickering screen in d1_canals_06 I think. I would add a pic but I dont know how.

In d3_c17_02, the image of gman on the television is actually being rendered below you. Enter the noclip cheat then wander downward.

Up close, you see he's standing in a boat with a raven on his shoulder. He and the raven both ogle at you.

Hey I disabled the AI and then walked up to the G-man when he appears right outside the red barn at the beginning of the water hazard level. Here's my image:

When I was up beside him I then re-enabled the AI and he just stood there and watched me and blinked his eyes. I couldnt do anything to him though, he was just like a friendly.
