I put up a piece of software on half.com a couple of days ago. Today I got an e-mail from them saying that someone bought the item. How exactly does this whole system work? I have never done anything with half.com (buying or selling). How do I get paid? The way they word things it looks like I have to ship before receiving the money.

Anybody used half.com before?

I use it all the time, stuff goes fast on there too :)

in the email there is a link to where you confirm or unconfirm the sale. If you confirm, they give you the address of the person you're supposed to ship to, and so you package your item and ship it with whatever method of shipment they prefer (priority, media, etc).

You have two options of payment. 1st, Half.com will transfer the funds directly into the account you listed with them. They do this at midmonth and end of the month. They'll send you another email when they do, to tell you when to expect it. Usually takes a week for the $ to show

Other option is they'll print and send you a check. I haven't done this personally since they say it takes 2-3 weeks, but its just the other option.

Hope this helps
