Edit: I think he is an Apple fanboy (or pretends to be one) though, so it could go either way.

ahh, I did not realize the origin....now I feel a big sheepish. I just saw that in the yahoo finance news and thought....hey, isn't there a hal9000 or something like that on atot...lol.

I don't think it ever was neckbeard, but something that sounded a bit like it.

Off topic: I don't get all the Hal9k hate. He's an odd fellow, but we all are in one way or another. Alky on the other hand, is pretty easy to dislike.

There was once a user called "Neckbeard" and, initially, some of us assumed it was the same user when he joined with the name "Neckarb." I think most of us know it's not Neckbeard, but we kept using the name because it annoyed him and he didn't know why people were doing it. Then he changed his name to H9K.
