Two women within the past year sustained injury
OH NOES! TWO! PANDEMIC!

I can't wait for a politician to pull one of their tried and true lines:

"If my draconian, far reaching legislation prevents just one person from getting hurt, I'd say it was worth it."

Who wants to scoff at "slippery slope" arguments now?

Huh?

Give them an inch and they take a mile. This is what we get when we abdicate personal responsibility and give it over to the governemnt/s.

Oh, me me me! Pick me!!!

New Jersey scraps plan to ban Brazilian bikini waxes

Perhaps realizing how silly they looked, the state of New Jersey on Friday scrapped plans for a controversial ban on "Brazilian" bikini waxes.

The ban was being considered by the state's Cosmetology and Hairstyling Board because two women in the past year had been hospitalized for infections following a bare-it-all Brazilian-style treatment.

But in a letter to the board on Friday, New Jersey Consumer Affairs Director David Szuchman wrote: "I cannot agree to the complete prohibition ... banning removal of hair in the genital area."

The very fact that it was even considered is enough. Each year we are bombarded with new sin taxes, regulations, prohibitions and bans that cater to the lowest common denominator in an effort to save us from ourselves, save the children, or cost to society.

The slippery slope exists, folks. That silly bans like these even are considered and so many more actually get passed are proof enough.

Just wait until two men cut themselves shaving. I already did it once, so the rest of you are going to have to be careful.
