Haircuts?

Dawned on me when the wife made a comment about the fact I'm looking a bit shaggy earlier today...

What does anyone have planned for grooming, specifically haircuts? We have chosen to shelter in place for as long as necessary. Retired, and almost all banking, etc., has been electronic for years, did see some of this coming plus we have a freezer full of food, so no immediate needs there. Plenty of beer and spirits on hand which we have doubled up on in the last few weeks, so we can sit tight for weeks now. Family can run errands, purchase food and bring it to us.

But I am not going to a barber shop and have a man that has been in close contact with a dozen people that day, while he cuts my hair. Actually I have no idea if he is even open, or is also sheltering in place at home.

So when does it get bad enough that you ask the wife, or whomever to do some trimming?

My wife has mowed my hair for the past twenty years. Of course, all she has to do is run a number 1 guard over it and done.

Anyone paying attention knew they were doing a 'how do you boil a frog' method of locking down the country. Luckily it came a little slower here so I called my niece this weekend and she cut my hair on Wed.

Maybe long hair is going to become in again since nobody will be getting haircuts lol. I think I should be fine myself. 😛

Can't remember the last time I cut my hair. I think I'll just keep doing what I'm doing.
Chewing off the split ends?

All you need is an electric clipper, a wall mirror, and a handheld mirror. Sit down for it as the shock of seeing the bald patch might cause you to pass out.

I was planning to finally cut my hair with the spring equinox...in just a few weeks, it's been 3 years since the last one...looks like I'ma have to lrt my freak flag fly a bit longer.

My wife cuts my hair. She was pretty bad at first but gotten much better with practice over the years. So no worries here.

I am in the same position. I need a hair cut for work.

I do have a barber shop next door to where I live. I will look into how they are coping with the state of emergency here.

I went to my local sport clips on Tuesday ahead of a job interview—they were open and I had zero wait. Gave a $10 tip since I have no idea how long they’ll be staying open. They had sanitizers all over but come to think of it, most people just naturally avoid touching anything at a barbershop.

My county ordered a bunch of businesses closed a day or so back. Gyms, indoor pools, spas, etc., got the headlines, but in the fine print it includes nail salons, beauty parlors, arcades, bowling alleys, tattoo parlors, and even single chair barber shops.

The guideline is "if your business or service requires you to be withing 6 feet of another person for 10 minutes or more", you are to close

Eh, I am pretty much rocking it as short as possible already, almost not worth paying a cut for ... if in a few weeks ill take it all off myself.
