Hair thinning at the top... :(

Man, my hair's thinning a bit at the top (crown or whatever it's called). GF and friends have all mentioned it if they look at the back of my head. And I'm only 24 🙁 Probably due at least partially to stress from work. Oh well. Any good solutions (short of surgery and/or shaving my head) to thicken up that area? I don't want to shave my hair off cause i still got PLENTY on my head. Just want to cover up a thinning area.

A friend of mine in college was already losing his hair our first year. His hairline is back to about the middle of his head now...but he just shaves it all off.

THERE IS HOPE!!!! 🙂 I am getting info... hand on.

Ok this was me a couple months back I was in the exact same boat as you. See MY POST.

I didn't want to try anything with drugs that might have "side affects." Anyways so I decided to try regenix after reading a lot of reviews there was good feedback and bad feedback but most of the peoples bad feedback was from people who never tried it.

I tried it and it has been like what 2 months now. All I can say is 🙂 I would show pictures but every time I took a picture of my head before hand I went 🙁 and deleted it. I was defiantly thinning on the top of my whole head. Regenix fixed it and is making a lot of my hair thicker. WOOT

Try the started kit. Watch the really LAME dvd they send with it to make sure you know what to expect. Stick with the directions and don't judge the product till a month after. Send in your hair samples too so they can analyze them.

The catch is this. Once they have you using it and you like it $$$$$$, I spend about 300 to 400 a MONTH on this stuff. But it works really good for me. I am also doing everything they recommend though, you may be able to get the same results only using part of their stuff.

For me about 1.5 months into the process I looked in the mirror and and a BIG BIG smile was on my face, I laughed out loud that it actually worked I really didn't think it was going to.

I really, really didn't believe this stuff was going to work but I was willing to try it. Might not work for you but it did for me.

They say that after about 2 years of this 300$ to $400 a month I will be on a maintenance schedule which is more like $50 a month.

ahh screw it. my mental image isn't worth 300-400 a month. Ugh... if I go bald, I go bald. Worst case scenario: women don't like me anymore. Not like I haven't used my hands before.

The student teacher of my AP US History class had a big bald spot, so he shaved his head. He was like 21 too.

receding ftl here

shave it to #1 , going to the gym, and i live in fla so getting tanned for da summer

just have to work around it lol

I have found a product that sells for far less, and is guaranteed to stop hair from falling.
It's called, THE FLOOR

hahahahhahha damn.

If it is genetics, then you can try what is known as the "big 3" in hairloss treatments:

1. finasteride (i.e. propecia)
2. minoxidil (i.e. rogaine)
3. nizoral 2% (this is a shampoo)

I think I have thin hair and a big forehead but I've been told I don't know what I'm talking about and look good lol. I do have grey hair though 🙁.

Welcome to life!

Just wear your balding hair with pride. I'd rather just go with it and have an attitude like "yeah, I'm balding but I don't fucking care."

This doesn't mean you will end up a cueball. I started losing my hair on top when I was in my late 20s. I have a bald spot but it stopped there. I'm 51 and have a pretty good head of hair except for the bald spot, which is much smaller than typical male pattern baldness - in other words I have much more than the usual fringe.

Hair sucks anyway. I've recently started buzzing mine with a number 1. It's easy, and I dont have to go to the barber anymore. Plus I think it looks better.

I'm sure some day when I go bald I will look back at this time in my life when I could have had a glorious head of hair, and wasted it by buzzing it.

Oh well.

The last two on that list do not work. Minoxidil makes "peach fuzz" hair grow, and nizoral is pretty much worthless. I've also used Nioxin, but that only saves existing hair if it's falling out due to a non-genetic condition.

Get used to the art of the comb-over.

It's all in your head (LOL PUNS), just be confident. Maybe we'll have a fix for it in a few years, or a decade from now, but for now don't worry. Besides, you can shave it, buzz it, or just wear it proudly. The women who were going to like you, will still like you.

I'll write what I write in all the balding threads ... when I was 19, I shaved my hair off when it was 6 inches long, and never grew it out long for a fairly long time. Well, then when I'm 25-26, I decide maybe it is time for a change, but not all of it grew back 🙂 I prefer the low-maintenance shaved-head angle anyway, and think I look better anyhow. My advice, learn to live with it ... and don't worry, you'll probably replace it by growing it on your back
