Not only did the Ottawa Senators out play them, they out fought them too.

A wild bench clearing melee' and the Leafs get 2 players suspended. Tie Domi (dummie) and Darcy Tucker get at least 2 game misconducts.

"Tucker received an instigating minor, two fighting majors, a 10-minute misconduct and two game misconducts while Green got a charging minor."

"Domi got minors for instigating and roughing, a fighting major, 10-minute misconduct and game misconduct. Goalie Patrick Lalime got the only Sens penalty, a minor for leaving the crease."

Talk about goon-squad hockey.

Yeah, who's going to be the luckey 8 seed this year?

If it could be the Rangers... it'll be a battle to see who can choke the most. :p:D
All I can say is Belfour played well considering he faced over 40 shots on goal! Man, talk about being hung out to dry by your defense.

WTF are you talking about! Good thing tucker went after those pussy wackers in the Sens bench. Fscking guy spit on tucker then deny it. And that retarded trainer taking shots at the players, leave it to the damn players ass wipe.

Piss me off so much. Sure they deserve some of the penalties but the refs didn?t call some penalties on some Sens players (which is one of the reason whole bench brawl started).

Sometimes you just gotta stick up for your players and that what Tucker did. Your pussy Sens would never do that.

Relax SPP! Its just a game. Enjoy it for the fun of watching the players punching each other's lights out.

Toronto still has a chance of breaking 80 when they go against Buffalo.

Hasn't it been about 80 years since the Leafs won a Cup?

Everyone enjoy it while you can, because after next year there won't be hockey for a long, long time. Not that today's NHL is much more entertaining than watching paint dry, but I'd hate to see it die altogether.

I think it was 1967.

The Leafs may be the dirtiest team in the league. Tucker and Domi are just loose cannons.

I used to respect Domi, but he has gone off the deep end. And as for Tucker, he is just a little goon with no regard for anyone else. I really thinks he goes out and intentionally tries to hurt players.

I'm glad the Wings beat their asses 7-2 last week.

Wutchutalkinbout Willis?!?! Today's NHL games are faster paced... more exciting and just better than most of the major sports out there. At the very least it's more action than baseball... and the association doesn't seem that interesting to me anymore... it's degenerating toward a bunch of thugs. Plus, I never liked football.

The NHL stopped being a thrilling league sometime in the mid 90's, when the Devils showed how to win without talent. Overexpansion and financial chaos have diluted the talent level to all time lows. Last year was the lowest scoring year in NHL history. This year so far has tied it. The '84 Oilers averaged 5.75 goals a game by themselves. Today's average combined total is 5.62. So I feel fairly secure in saying that the NHL is in the crapper.

Yup. '67. HAHAHAHAHAHAH!

Yeah, we should buy the cup like Detroit did.

BTW, Domi rarely have fights this season. He's having his best season in goals and assists. Wade Bealak (sp) is the enforcer in the Leafs now. The game today was pretty heated up which is why he was cleaning out trash.

Blah, I'm outta here.

Win without talent? Martin Brodeur = no talent... lol. Sure, the trap is a giant POS but with recent rule changes and hurry-up faceoffs, teams are definitely more open and there's a lot more skating and scoring is up. I think the league needs to continue to crack down on diving and neutral zone interference as the results have been a lot more wide open play.

Talented teams are winning now. And who's to say the Devils aren't talented? Hockey is also about hard work... Naslund, Mogliny, Fedorov, Sundin, Selanne, etcetc... watch of few of their shifts and you'll see they not only have talent, they work extremely hard on the ice and capitalize on mistakes or openings.

Heck, look at the Bulls or Lakers... or the Angels...the Bucs! They have mebbe a handful of star talents does anyone complain about that? Sure, mebbe you miss the wide open days of the 80s, but I'm pretty happy with the NHL in comparison with other sports.

Cleaning out trash? He got his a$$ kicked royally and then tried to pick a fight with a guy that doesn't fight. Yeah, real talent there.

No, scoring isn't up. It's never been lower. Hell, Arena Football got higher ratings than the NHL All Star game. The refs still don't enforce the rules, and nobody cares. But hopefully the upcoming strike will fix a few things. There will be a salary cap, and it would be nice if 2 or 3 teams were eliminated. The owners caved in 1994, they won't in 2004. Even the players admit the NHL is in serious trouble.
