So I get a call from an OLD friend that I haven't talked to in about..... 5 years. Apparently he dared another friend that his tires had enough air in them to hold his car above water... 😀 (What a dumbass! No wonder he dropped out of college!) Since I have a full size truck, he called me.

He slowly drove it into the river thinking that is would miraculously start floating at some point, but once the water started pouring the side windows he tried backing up. At this point, he was stuck in mud and it just kept sliding! (DUHHH!) so they tied a nylon climbing rope to the back bumper and the other end to another guys bumper. They said it was holding for now, but they need me to come quick before it lets go.

I'm taking my digicam, I'll be back in a few with pics! 🙂

you're nto a very good friend if the first thing you do is post on AT to laugh rather than go help him immediately

A real friend who go help him, then afterwards go on AT to nef 🙂
 
Ok, I'm back... with no pics. 🙁

Turns out it was just down the street, much closer than I thought. Anyway, they pulled his Geo Prism out with some guys AWD Subaru Outback. His car was dripping when I got there, so I took out my digicam and it had no batteries. I removed them to charge last night. 🙁

Anyway, the funny part was past anyway apparently, so you didn't miss much.

Ohhh also, his car was running when I got there. I would have bet you a $100 bucks the engine was flooded... I guess not.

btw, to the person that said I wasn't a very good friend... yah you are right. That is the reason I haven't talked to him in 5 years. We are barely friends anymore and he's a dumbass and he deserves what he gets.

I would have laughed to see the car go away to a point where he couldn't get it, hehe.
 
I wonder if Jugernot exaggerated his friend's story. Then he got there and taking pics would incriminate him, so suddenly his batteries weren't working. :/ 😕

Actually no, I bet he doesn't. He is a recovering cocaine addict and he pushed all of his friends and family away long ago. He deserved everything that comes at him. He's not a terribly smart guy and he screwed all of the people that cared about him and he continues to take advantage (financially and emotionally) of the only ones that care about him anymore, his family. I know this as I still IM with his sister every few weeks...

Thanks for the thoughts about my ex luvly. As misplaced and wrong as they are...

Hey the hatchback metro is kinda fund to drive, wouldn't want to own one though.

If its a Corolla, why not just buy the Toyota then instead of the Geo?
