OK...cool....someone finally posts the source of the bogus info.

I could really care less about what happens to Giraldo. Just thought it strange I hadn't heard this.

Jeff

WTG Drudge....lol.

It's also reported on CNN.

Geraldo is on FOX right now - 1129hrs Central US.

He's addressing the rumors about his "dismissal". Say's opposing networks may be spreading rumors for sensationalism or somesuch (paraphrased).

Peeps - don't post this kind of "news" w/out reference.

you! sir! stfu!

I wouldn't consider Reuters an "opposing network."

Best part:

Whitman said Rivera was not officially "embedded," or assigned to the unit by the military, but was covering the troops at the time.

I suppose he was just hanging around since he had nothing better to do. 🙂

I actually enjoyed Geraldo's reports with the troops.

Peter Arnett on the other hand, he should go die.

This is the second war in a row where he has screwed up. When is Fox going to finally get rid of him?

NeuroSynapsis,

Your point is???? Prior to my posting there were mentions, but no links posted referring to Geraldo being dismissed. Further, while I was typing, FOX NEWS was in a live conversation with Geraldo - discussing the "rumors" (all of which FOX denied during that communication, and which Geraldo admitted he was unaware of that information as well). To shore that up, I even stated that my mention was "paraphrased" to loosely convey the particulars of that correspondence.

Now, if further news developed and was made available - so be it. The fact is, at the time of my posting - no links were referenced supporting the situation mentioned. I could care less if Geraldo stays on the air. But to sensationalize his being there or not... and to tell someone to STFU w/out even having a soap box to stand on... I'm just tellin' it like it is: You should post references when making sensational "news" comments.

Perhaps Synapsis of your own Neurosis is in order.

You can shut your own self up. (of course, post links to references when you do so 😉)

To your credit - you did post that Drudge link. I should have mentioned that link as well - but figured the denial on the same page addressed it, thus not substantiating the claim that he'd been dismissed.

Thanks for following up and linking both sides. (no thanks for the stfu).

Peaceful!? In a few minutes there's going to be a knock on your door... When you open the door you will see a 6' 300lb guy who will introduce himself as "Tiny". I suggest you don't laugh 😉

The CNN link mentioned earlier in this thread by BDawg has apparently been modified by CNN; it no longer mentions Geraldo. So now we have two competing articles, one by Reuters and the other by Associated Press, both without official statements from the US military.

CNN Link

That's because CNN made it a story.

They should also put News Corp as a whole on trial for what they did to Koufax. That entire organization is messed up.
