I didn't see a topic for this so I hope it isn't a repost (knowing you guys, it probably is).

CAB stands for "Chatting AIM Bot". This is a bot that anyone can send upon their friends, family, co-workers, etc. using AOL Instant Messenger (AIM). The bot uses artificial intelligence to pretend to be a real person, tricking your friends into all kinds of hilarious conversations. After ten minutes of interactive conversation, they will be told that they have been talking to a computer the entire time. Meanwhile, CAB will send the conversation to your e-mail and you can laugh up how you made such a fool of them. The bot has been known to get all kinds of funny comments and juicy info from your friends. Give it a try, you never know what the bot might say next!

I pranked a few of my friends with it. It's great.
 
lol, I've tried these before, they mainly tend to be boring and stupid though... some answers are hilarious b/c of their stupidity tho
 
It worked for one of my friends, but he was a little wary since they had a sub-profile with 100,000+ hits on it...
 
meh, it's so-so. i tried it to see how good the convos are, and it's not that great. it gets out of questions by saying "maybe 😉" a lot
 
One A.L.I.C.E. program is as good as another. Granted, this one has a few nice tricks inasmuch as it incorporates the typical 12 year old AOL-er typographical errors, but it still has the same algorhythmical limitations that plague other A.L.I.C.E. programs. For example, the response to "Excuse me, do I know you?" was, "That's OK.". Fairly typical response for a computer that has only been programmed for the more common use of the phrase "excuse me" and cannot grasp the more obscure uses. It also lacks appropriate response to complex phrasing that one would expect from a person with the typing skills emulated by the program.

Still, it's good for passing time. 🙂

I sent this to one of my friends, who gave up rather quickly. She then sent it to me. Seizing the opportunity, I wrote a whole bunch of stuff about how I knew it was a bot, how lame it was, yet sarcastically complimenting her on the choice of name and so forth. We were having an IM conversation while this was going on.

Cliff Notes: I tricked her, didn't fall for it. She sent it back, I made fun of her and the fact that she was using bot, then told her i got tricked by someone. She gloated until she read the convo.
