Umm, how is that rice? It looks to have quite a few performance mods, and none of the ricer giveaways like multi color paintjob, stickers, etc.

The hood is black. It has a body kit. Look closer...

The hood is black? The hood is black? Let me get this straight... you think the hood is black? Do you even know what carbon fiber is?

not painting your carbon fiber is still rice.

The point of carbon fiber is for lighter wieght, painting it will add wieght. not alot, but some. Plus the look of carbon fiber weave is cool on a dark colored car.

why would you paint your carbon fiber ?

So what's the functional reason for the body kit?

Edit: The driver's decision whether to eat lunch or not would have more impact on the weight of the car than painting the hood. :)

Why would you add a full on body kit and 19" rims if you were concerned about weight? Not painting your cf hood = rice

That car, while having a few ricey elements, is not rice.

however i would never pay MSRP for a car that is 6 years old with 63 thousand miles

because it's about as stupid looking having a black panel on your car as those band-aids nelly wears. might as well not wax your car. i mean, hey, it saves weight, right?

For goodness sakes....it even has a Greddy Exaust......which more than likey farts loud as hell....and don't forget this line "Full Bomex Body Kit (Fast and the Furious)"

I dont like the kit either. But even if it has a tacky bodykit or whatever... the car actually is fast instead of just looking fast.

Ha, i just realized who this was. This is the place down the street from my moms. They have like 3-4 90's RX-7s out front all the time. They have some bad ass cars there, they've got a Viper RT10, check out all the stuff they have Link

Word. Also, the carbon fiber hood isn't much lighter than a stock aluminum Supra hood. In addition, it might not even be 100% carbon fiber. There are definitely a good number of fiberglass hoods that are "skinned" in carbon fiber for the Supra.

Well, lets say that the owner may be a ricer at heart unfortunately. The majority of cars hooked up like that are not from people that know how to make their cars actually fast. Rather they just buy lots of expensive *blingbling* parts and say I got this and that and etcetc. I'm madfastyo!

I can tell you right now... it doesn't cost 25K to duplicate what has been done to this car (at least the cost of parts). So while a MkIV Supra TT is definitely not a ricey car... it unfortunately can be turned into a rice show queen. I estimate around $12-15k in parts.

No mentioned of changes to the turbos, fuel system, and the GCC with VPC combo isn't exactly easy to tune. No datalogger of any sort at all and the 19" wheels tells you that this owner wasn't serious about going fast but rather looking good.

perhaps he wanted show and go? nothing wrong with that...
maybe the dealer doesn't know much (ie maybe he did upgrade the turbos
