If you have to run to the internet to let everyone know you said something witty, you probably aren't that clever and should be ashamed of yourself for being so proud of something so trivial.

But good one.

Definitely more of a Central Canadian thing. I had a boss from Alberta and he would pronounce his "out" more like "oot." I occasionally find myself doing it; I guess he wore off on me.

Ah, that could be it. I live in Minnesota and my only real trip to Canada was to Winnipeg.

It wasn't the most scenic place; I only went there to check out the University of Manitoba when I was still in high school. Didn't end up going there but wow the tuition is super cheap.

It's actually a decent school and yeah, tuition is much cheaper all across the board here. Winnipeg itself is a shithole though; lived there for several years and used to go back and visit my Grandmother on occasion after moving out West. I will never go back now that she's dead.

You lived in Winnipeg for several years and didn't hear a single person say "oot"? I don't know if I trust that. That's like somebody from Texas not knowing what "y'all" meant.

I don't recall it. I was only a little kid though, so maybe I just did not notice or something. :hmm:
