From The Inquirer
ANOTHER US POLITICIAN has tired of receiving emails about the benefits of Coral Calcium, 55 Iraqi Playing Cards for You and You Probably Weren't Expecting to Hear from Me but Send me Money.
Senator Charles Schumer, said the Wall St Journal, is proposing a national law, like other senators, to regulate spams and he wants all junk mail to have the letters ADV to show the contents are ads. Perhaps the letters SPAM would be better?

Meanwhile Microsoft, AOL and Yahoo have signed an alliance to combat the growing menace of Hot Lesbo Sluts and No more balding with #1 pain-free drug-free solution, as well Hello Big Boy, the Journal reports.

Yahoo, Microsoft and AOL will work broadly together to stop people creating multiple fraudulent mail accounts, and will exterminate hidden identities of senders and the like.

They will also, the article claims, share spam activity with law enforcement agencies. A slightly more worrying one that than Energize your Sex Life!

Yahoo! and Hotmail have spam blocking software and seperate inboxes for junk mail, that's not so much the issue, imo. It's more that there is an issue with spam at all, the same with telemarketers and blocking their calls- it really shouldn't be necessary. This is hopefully the first step to a world where you can open your inbox and answer your phone without having to deal with solicitation.

I love it for Hotmail. While it doesn't get rid of it (even returning to sender hasn't stopped it ever since I tried many many months ago)... it does a great job of sorting the spam from the real stuff...
