This is just like the other thread this morning where everyone was trying to one up each other on how big of spenders they are. Everyone is incredibly rich on the internet. Just like everyone is good looking, has a hot girl, and a 10" crank.

Granted, you shouldn't act like you're so much more important because of the money you make.

Yeah most people here are big-talkers, which is kinda sad considering your opinion is all but useless unless you're pulling at least 300k/year. In fact I don't talk to people who make any less :D

That's ignorant to say and laugh about. I don't see anything funny about it. That's too bad your own family can't get along.

Have you read any of TommyVercetti's posts within the last month?

exactly!! this is a joke aimed at vercetti... not at religion

Looks like no more family gatherings for a long time.

So how is everyone's thanks giving dinner?

nowhere near as entertaining

Over the years there has been a couple tiffs in my family at holidays but we're such a bunch of passive aggressives that all that happens is a lot of silence and dirty looks.

Sounds like my family, we all pretend to be nice and a strong family. Tonight the dinner went well, but then two side arguments broke out. My mother storms out of the place cussing off my grandparents. My brother then gets in an argument with his girlfriend and he storms out. My cousin started ignoring everyone and goes to his room and slams the door.

My uncle and I just sat at the cowboy game shaking our heads.

No arguments this year. However, my dad (and most of his family) are diabetics, and lately his sugar level has been too high, so he brought his kit and had practically all of us tested, right after dinner and dessert.

But that is so useless...your sugar is supposed to be relatively high after a meal and sugar. Test before breakfast and before dinner, not directly after. For example, mine was 115 4 hours after lunch and before dinner - it will be tested in the morning before breakfast.

Sounds just like my ex's parent's house for the holiday dinners. Although, 1/2 the time, those ended up with the cops there over her juvenile delinquent nephew.

Sure as hell don't miss those!!

We tried telling them that, but no use convincing my dad otherwise when he's into one of his 'convictions'

ohh, and i would be happy making even half of $90k/year.

Yeah, you don't need to aim jokes at religion, as it is a joke in itself.

That's all right, at least 3 people I had dinner with were firmly convinced that the U.S. government was aware that the 9/11 attacks were going to happen and intentionally did nothing to stop them. It really wasn't worth getting into an argument over.

Religion and Politics should never be discussed at Dinner as they are both about BS and both in bad taste.

The minute I read this, I thought, "SoCal." Then I clicked on your profile and saw I was right. :D
