First of all, its a stupid question, cause if you put the money in, then the next person that uses the machine is gonna get something for free. So instead of you paying for one and getting one free, you now have paid for both and the next guy gets one free, unless he also puts the money in. But anyway.
So thats the question, yo paid for one item, but the mahcien gave you 2, do you somehow pay for the second item?
And slightly off topic, but about the job. I also had to do a hands on type of test with an old computer. I had 5 minutes and 5 questions to answer.
1. How many hard drives are in the computer
2. How big are(is) the hard drive(s)
3. What type of processor is it
4. What is the speed of the processor
5. How much memory is in the computer.
The first one was easy, there was only 1 hard drive. The second one should have been easy, but rather then a screw holding the drive in, they had some weird plastic clip type thing holding it in, and I couldn't seem to work the thing(yeah I know I am stupid, but I didn't want to force it and break the part, although I should have though, since the case took a lot of pulling to get it off.
The third question was easy enough it was an Intel Pentium 2 slot processor. Unfortunately I didn't really start working with computers till after the good old days of slot processors, so I couldn't seem to find the info onthe processor that specified the speed of it. Is that located on the back of the processor? There where some stickers with numbers and whatnot on them on the CPU, but none of theme seemed like a plausible number to be the speed of the chip. The memory was easy as there was a sticker on it specifying it was a 128MB stick.
So where is the CPU speed located on an Intel Pentium 2 slot processor?
Either way they are giving me an interview, I don't know why, I don't think I would knowing I couldn't find the speed of the CPU. But that was my only hang up, so once I figure that out, i feel confident I could do the job.
